February Challenges
Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen back again with a look at our new batch of monthly challenges for February. Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.) You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store. (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%). Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?! You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!! Pretty great, right?! So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Random Challenge – The first challenge up for February is being hosted by Natasha (AKA bcnatty). Natasha wants you to pick a shape and then fill it! It can be any shape you’d like. Here’s a fabulous sample layout that Natasha created with a heart filled up with all kinds of goodies!
2. BYOC Challenge – Next up is the BYOC Challenge. This challenge is hosted by Courtney (bestcee) and the challenge is to use 90% of the products on your page from this month’s BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers. Here’s a sample layout that Courtney created for this challenge:
3. Template Challenge – The Template Challenge for February is being hosted by Christa (cfile). All you have to do to play along is download the free template made by Designed by Irma and then create a layout using that fun template. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample layout that Christa made using it:
4. Style Challenge – The style challenge for this month is being hosted by Jenn (jk703) and she would like to challenge you to create a letter that has Big Typography/Paint/Alphas and your layout must also be photoless. Here’s a great sample layout created by Jenn:
5. Journaling Challenge – The journaling challenge for February is being hosted by Lori (lcpereyra). Lori is challenging you to create a layout that captures journaling about your 10 favorite things. Here’s a fabulous layout she created for inspiration:
6. Inspiration Challenge – Kayla (keepscrappin) is hosting this month’s inspiration challenge and she would like you to draw inspiration from a great Tic Tac Toe photo. Here’s a look at the photo followed by Kayla’s layout inspired by the photo:
7. Scraplift Challenge – Heather (HeatherB) is hosting the Scraplift Challenge for this month and she has to decided pick the MOC 12 Gallery to scraplift from this month. To scraplift a layout, simply go to the MOC 12 Gallery and pick a layout that you love and then create a new scraplifted version of it. Here is a look at a layout that Heather picked, followed by her scraplifted version:
8. Photography Challenge – The final challenge for february is the Photography Challenge which is being hosted by Ashley (ashleywb). Ashley would like you to use only black & white photos on a page for this challenge. You may use one or more photos. Here’s a gorgeous layout created by Ashley:
Challenge Galleries: (post your pages to these galleries)
There is your quick peek at this month’s brand new batch of challenges. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above.
