Dust Off the Cleats, It’s Baseball Time!
Ok, technically we won't see a baseball game on tv for probably about a month or so but the players are already gearing up for practice. My son is a die hard baseball fanatic! Yes, it's a Vintage Baseball one of a kind. I'm so excited!!Naturally the first place I popped into to search for vintage-y goodness was none other than The Lilypad! That's just a no brainer, right?! Well... I've got all kinds of ideas running rampant in this ol' brain. Thankfully, there are vintage type papers and elements galore here at The Pad to help make each one of those ideas a reality! If you've got a baseball fan in your life you might consider snagging a few of these as well, whether it's to throw a party or simply to scrap a … [Read more...]

Getting Unstuck Creatively
One of the most frustrating things that can happen creatively is getting stuck. You look at your blank page and you stare. Nothing. You want to scrapbook, but nothing is coming to you. You stare some more, and finally you decide to console yourself with some Cheetos, or cookies, or ice cream. {Oh wait, maybe that's just me.}Here are some ways that I've found helpful in getting unstuck creatively, and finding your way back to the joy of scrapbooking. Lower your expectations of the output. Not every page has to be a masterpiece. Every page has its purpose and sometimes it's okay to create a page that's not your favorite. The important thing is you created. Just play. Pull out your favorite supplies and just start putting things on the page. Especially with digi scrapping, you can move stuff around the page and if you don't like it, just hit the "Undo" button. Start … [Read more...]
Giving hybrid another chance…
Hiya friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful day!!! Happy President's day to all of us in the U.S.!Okay, okay, I admit it. I was a die hard digital scrapbooker from 2007-2010. In fact I turned a lot of people from paper scrapbookers into digital scrapbookers over that period of time declaring it superior. :) But as my children got older, and more interested in doing my hobbies WITH me, and as I spent more time at the computer for other activities (photography, online classes, etc.) I pulled a way from digital scrapbooking, and recently fell in love with paper scrapbooking. Now this was a personal decisions and I totally still get all the positives to digital scrapbooking over paper scrapbooking, but for me, in this time... paper is where it is at.When I think of hybrid projects I have seen in the digital community over the years many of them are mainly digital products … [Read more...]
