Bits & Pieces from the Desk (and Probably the Floor)

June’s Whirlwind Edition

Hey friends—pull up a chair, maybe scoot the clutter aside, and let’s catch up. This month’s update comes to you from a space that might technically be called a desk, but also might include the floor, my lap, two half-drunk coffee cups, and a very confused dog. It’s been a lot. But it’s been the kind of a lot that means progress. So, let’s talk about it.

Welcome Elisa of EHStudios!

Let’s start with the best kind of news: Elisa of EHStudios has officially joined us as a permanent resident designer at The Lilypad! Yes, you read that right—permanent. She’s here to stay, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her voice and vision as part of our designer family.

To celebrate, her store is 40% off right now. A few exclusions may apply (because bundles gonna bundle), but this is the perfect chance to fill your cart with something fresh and beautiful.

Store Launch (aka: Phase One is DONE!)

If you’ve been wondering why I’ve been a little quieter lately, here’s your answer: I’ve been in tech trenches with a good dev & server guy.
Between servers, spreadsheets, and software that has the nerve to develop an attitude at 2 a.m., I’ve been knee-deep in the backend of a very big transition. And now?
We’re launching the new store TOMORROW—July 1. For more details, head to the forum and you can find it all right here

This launch marks the official end of Phase One. And no, that’s not just a dramatic label—it’s been a massive effort to get us here, with every image, product, and pathway rerouted into a more modern, flexible system. While everything essential is fully functional, you might notice a few oddities around the menu bar or navigation as we smooth out the edges. Please be patient. I promise we’re on it.

⛔ Quick PSA: Download Your Stuff!

One last time, with feeling: If you haven’t downloaded your past purchases, do it now.
Your current links will no longer work after the move. Orders won’t carry over into the new system, though we do have recovery processes in place if you need help. Still, save yourself the trouble—grab your goodies tonight.
You’ll find more launch-day tips, FAQs, and worst-case-scenario prep in the forum. Yes, I covered it all. You know I did.

🛠️ Phase Two: Coming (After I Nap Slightly Longer Than Planned)

Once we go live, I’ll be taking a short break (and I do mean short—but I’m not putting a timer on it). After that, we’ll begin Phase Two, which includes wishlist functionality and a few more behind-the-scenes improvements.
This next round will be handled by a new team that’s taking over from the crew that got us across the finish line in Phase One. Some of the final polish work will be passed off and continued with fresh eyes. I’ll still be involved, but this is a handoff—and a much-needed one.

🏕️ TLP Summer Camp 2025: Now Open!

Amid all the tech and to-do lists, something magical happened:
Our very first TLP Summer Camp just kicked off, and it is everything I hoped it would be—creative, quirky, and full of heart.

Led by the Pollys and Lynn Marie (aka camp counselors extraordinaire), this nine-week adventure is packed with fun challenges, creative prompts, and some seriously good prizes.

✔️ Limited-edition Summer Camp 2025 T-shirt
✔️ A shot at being a Guest Community Polly
✔️ Memories, mischief, and more bonding than a glue stick convention

Whether you’re in it for the games, the gallery inspiration, or the s’mores vibes, come play. Summer camp is live, and the virtual campfire is calling.

Final Thoughts from the Floor

So that’s the scoop—from the desk, the floor, and every file path in between. This month has been intense, transformative, and oddly exhilarating. We’re launching not just a store, but a new season for this community.

💾 Don’t forget to download.
🛒 Say hi to Elisa and check out her beautiful work.
🎨 Join us at camp and make some messy magic.

And as always, thank you. For the trust, the patience, the notes of encouragement, and the shared laughs when things glitch. This community is the reason I keep pushing forward—even when my desk chair is officially replaced by the dog bed.  Or I’m being asked to document in this thing called Notion vs using a sticky note with washi tape.  (And yes, these types of post happen with way too much coffee, too little sleep and high levels of sarcasm shared among the tech team).

See you on the other side of the launch.

xx-Esther 🖤
