Going around in Circles

Onto this weeks challenge then.  Did you all enjoy the NSD celebrations?  Did you spend the entire weekend scrapping up a storm or wishing that you could scrap up a storm instead of cooking, cleaning, walking the dog, working, chasing after children etc. ?

I thought we should have a really easy challenge this week after such a busy weekend.  So I challenge you to  “think in circles“, circle shaped cards, circle shaped layouts, circles on layouts, circles in circles, anything you’d like to create as long as I can see circles.  Just to add a bit of a twist you’ve got to use at least one product from our new guest designer Amy Hutchinson available in the LilyPad store which won’t be difficult as her creations are gorgeous and I just can’t help using them!

Remember: To be eligible for the gift certificate for this week’s challenge, you must use circles and at least least one product by Amy Hutchinson from the LilyPad store. Post your layouts to the Lilypad Challenge Gallery and then post your gallery link in the comments section of the blog. Any layout that doesn’t conform to the rules of the challenge will be removed from the gallery. Direct links to any non-TLP product are not allowed.

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
