April BYOC Addiction

A shout out from me, guest Polly; Anne of Alamo  to tell of  the April’s Build Your Own Collab  goodies that are that are beyond delightful. As always each and every parcel is pleasing to the eye and makes the heart begin to beat a little bit faster in anticipation. I am in complete and utter awe how they match so perfectly. It is a collaboration of amazement.  

These past 4 days, I have been wowed on a daily basis as each designer uploaded their remarkable portions.  From the alphas of CD Muckosky

and Rachel Young (be still my heart),

the Messy Marvin Deconstruction of AWolff designs,

 the hilarity of Cleaning and Housework by Pink Reptile

 

and Michelle Godin,

to the clean yet elegant lines of One Little Bird’s Suncatchers

 

and everyone else in between.   Oh that I could name each of these delightful designers and wax eloquently about their stunning portions to April’s BYOC.

Being in the backroom also means seeing the Infamous Pollys pages happen! This totally blew my mind, these ladies take the labor of loves the designers create and begin a magic that is unstoppable.

I admit to stalking

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
