March Challenges

Hello everyone!  It’s Polly Karen back again to give you a quick overview of all the new challenges for March.  Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.)  You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store.  (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%).  Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate!  Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?!  You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!!  Pretty great, right?!  So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!

1.  Random Challenge – The first challenge for March is the Random Challenge hosted by Heather (HeatherB).  Heather is challenging you to focus on using scatters on a layout this month.  Scatters can be pre-made or made up with a bunch of your favorite tiny elements.  Here is a great page that Heather created with scatters:

2.  Inspiration Challenge –  The next challenge for the month is hosted by the fabulous Cynthia (MrsPeel) and she would like to inspire you to create a layout using one of many great typography images she has posted in her challenge thread.    Look over those great images for inspiration and then incorporate one of those typography styles onto at least 1/3 of  your own page.  Here’s a great layout that Cynthia created:

3.  Scraplift Challenge – This month’s Scraplift Challenge is hosted by Natasha (bcnatty) and she chose the very talented Annemieke (MiekSter)’s Gallery to scraplift from in March.  Simply go to Annemieke (MiekSter)’s Gallery and find one layout you love and then create your own scraplifted version.  Natasha found a great layout in Annemieke’s gallery and then scraplifted it:

4.  Template Challenge – Christa (cfile) is hosting the Template Challenge for March.  The challenge is to use the free template supplied by Designed by Soco and create a layout using it.  Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample that Christa created:

5.  Style Challenge – The Style Challenge for March is being hosted by Julie (mrs2a50) and she is challenging you to create a layout with a linear design.  Everything on your layout should be placed in a straight line.  Here’s a great sample layout Julie created:
