Hi everyone and welcome to our March challenges! This month's Random Challenge is all about scatters. Scatters (or sprinkles) are a great way of adding a finishing touch to your layouts. There are pre-made scatters in the store (search for sprinkles or scatters), or you can use individual tiny elements to create your own scatter. There are even templates in the store that help you with scatter placement. Scatters can be layered with sequins, bead spills, tiny buttons and other tiny elements, glitter splats, even scribbles. Think small! I used a template by Scrapping with Liz that had confetti showing the placement of a scatter. Now you could simply clip a paper to the confetti template and call it done. Or you could use individual pieces and use the confetti to show where to place each element. That is what I have done in my sample page, using individual elements from Valorie Wibben's Sprinkles: Foundation. Here is my page for a little inspiration (full credits in gallery): So your challenge is simple: Use a scatter or create your own scatter on your page. The scatter must be obvious on your page. As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the March Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I am looking forward to seeing what you create!
Here's mine, I created my scatter using Bubbles and Pixie Dust: Thanks for the fun and simple challenge to ease me into the month!
Great challenge and a great reminder that little things can be the perfect added touch to your layout. Here be mine:
