Reflecting: Tips for Altering Sunglasses in Photoshop

Hello all my artsy friends!  We are in the middle of summer here in the states and it is prime time for photos showing off our fabulous summer sunglasses.  I thought it was the perfect time to go back through a couple of my favorite techniques for playing with sunglasses in Photoshop. 🙂

 

A common issue that comes up with sunglasses in photos is the distracting reflections we get sometimes.  There is a quick and easy way to eliminate those distractions in Photoshop and you can read all about it in the blog post here:

You can also use these techniques to change the color of lenses or to add patterns or texture by using your favorite digital papers to created a patterned reflection.  The possibilities are fun and endless!

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
