Hey all, Polly Jewelle here! I am excited to bring you another TLP member spotlight! I catch myself quite often browsing through Lynnette’s gallery here at the LilyPad. Her gallery is a great source of inspiration for scraping layouts or Project Life threads. Lets sit back and take some time to get to know more about Lynnette!
Jewelle: What is your IRL name and your user name?
Lynnette: My name and username are the same – Lynnette – because I’m creative like that .
Jewelle: Where do you call home?
Lynnette: Northern Utah.
J: Digital or Hybrid? Both?
L: Digital! I wish I could do hybrid, but just the thought stresses me out! I like the simplicity of just me & my computer.
J: How long have you been scrapping?
L: I started in 2005 – so 10 years now!
J: What is the starting point for your pages – photos, the story, products?
L: Hmmm. This is a tough one! It just depends – CT work usually starts with the products. Other pages start with the story – sometimes I will be enjoying life and think, this moment needs to be recorded so I’ll snap a photo or two knowing that I want to scrap it. But sometimes I just want to scrap for fun without a story already in mind, so that’s when I go to my photo library and start there.
J: How would you describe your style?
L: Colorful maybe? And realistic/paper looking. Other than that I’m all over the map!
J: Any must-have items or techniques on all of your pages?
L: I pretty much always have a title and at least one line of journaling…
J: Do you have a favorite tip or trick you can share with us?
L:When I’m not sure if a page is finished, I’ll zoom way out so the layout is small on my screen (or in Photoshop Elements I can just look at the small thumbnail in the photo bin). This gives me a different perspective and I can see what stands out at first glance. I can see if I need to add something/take something away to achieve a good visual balance.
J: Do you listen to music while you scrap? What kind?
L: Not often- I’m more of a podcast girl – but if I do it’s the Anthemic Indie Dance Pop playlist on Songza
J: What’s your favorite snack (if any) while you scrap?
L: Gummy bears!
J: What time of day do you feel most creative?
L: Usually in the morning, a few hours after I wake up and my brain is finally awake – though I don’t often have time to scrap then.
J: Share with us your favorite 3 layouts that you’ve created.
L: Another tough question!
L: This one was for the month of challenges. I love doing pocket style page for non-PL layouts, and I also love pages that cover a large span of time tied together by a common theme (vs. just one moment). I really love the clean look of this too!
L: This one is mainly for that photo! But that kit too – seriously one of my favorites ever.
L: This one because I LOVE to take a larger memory (a trip to the shore in this case) and focus in on the “little” moments like this one…
Thank you Lynnette for letting us learn more about you!
