Trend Watch – Kraft
Some background to this term KRAFT paper…it is because it is the process (kraft process) in which the paper is produced. Taking wood and converting it to a wood pulp of mainly fibers. The paper made is very strong. It is the sack paper that is designed for packaging. It is darker than other papers, but can be bleached to make it very white. The white is considered a very high quality paper. A fun little fact, the base paper for sandpaper, yep kraft paper! That sack lunch bag has become a highly sought after trend for scrapbooking, because it really can go with about anything you toss at it!
Take a look at the versatility of the kraft paper with paints! My personal favorite element to toss on the paper! Paints seem to be so happy against kraft paper:
Using kraft on top of kraft is a great technique also, look how Ellie has used it in her amazing Project Life page:
You can also take a dark background and use kraft paper pieces for that kapow punch like shayenne has done here:
