Polly Picks – Laura
Yes! Even our beloved leader of the Lily Pad is a Polly! I could fill this whole blog post with kind words about Laura McCandless!If you are reading this and have spent any time at all at the Lily Pad, you too can add words of amazement. I don’t know how she does all she does and then live a real life! Here is a bit about Laura by Laura:
“For me, memory keeping is all about the details. From photos that capture moments that would otherwise fade with time, to journaling that gives a precious record of our thoughts and feelings…and even to the pretty details that make up a layout. I love to create layouts and pocket pages where the details support the story. When the photos, journaling and embellishments come together on a page to craft the story, then I feel like I’ve accomplished my goal as a memory keeper!
You’ll usually see my pages filled with layers, lots of texture and color. I truly enjoy the rich variety of designs at The Lilypad. I always mix and match a wide variety of products to find the perfect pieces for my layouts. For me, it’s the art of remembering…and there’s nothing better.”
I adore how she journals the memory and know she will reap much joy as the years pass and her family gets to read and read the words she writes about them. Bouncing around this little universe I call Digiland, I have been in many shops, forums and such.
