Project 365
I can hardly believe we are winding down on January, can you?! For me that means I have almost made it thru the first of 12 months of Project 365. This is my second year trying to take a photo a day. Some days I miss, some days I fail, but all in all I am keeping up on it! I am as amazed as anyone that I have finished one whole year and am starting in on my second year! This is a BIG feat for me! Last year I did not put the pictures into any sort of album. I told myself that if I was going to make it thru the project I needed to keep it simple. Right now I have all 365 photos in a folder labeled P3652010 – so they will be there ready for me when I decide to get them into some type of book. This year, since I made it thru the 2010 project with little to no problems, I have decided to take the next step and put the pictures into the layouts as I go. Hopefully I can keep up! I have chosen to use Amber Clegg’s 365 Calendar Templates to work with. I am planning to create a hardbound book where each month will have a 2 page spread. I love the clean simple look of Amber’s template and so much of the work is already done for me!!! The great thing about these is you can adorn them up to your liking! If you forgot to get a photo on a certain day, just do a cute scrapbook paper and element there! Enjoy the process – don’t get overwhelmed!
Here is my January 2 page spread (I obviously left the Jan. 31 date box empty as I haven’t yet taken that pic!)

So if you are working on Project 365 or something similar I just want to take the time to spotlight a few of the GREAT products available to you at The-Lilypad to scrap the pictures with. If you have been peeking at the 365 Forums at all you will notice that many of the gals participating in the project have been using Val’s awesome templates! These are generally meant for a weekly LO with 7 days worth of photos. What great LO’s are coming from these templates and I can just picture the awesome hardbound books sitting on coffee tables now.
So if you haven’t done a Project 365 or anything like that I encourage you to give it a try! Join our forums to keep you accountable! It’s never to late to start and capture those daily memories! I truly love looking at my 2010 365 photos in one folder and tracking/remembering our last year!
