Every two weeks we ask one of our staff members to choose their favorite products in the shop. Then we put those products on sale! Our latest Polly Picks sale includes products chosen by the fabulous Melissa (mlewis):
Melissa (mlewis) is one of our long time Pollys at The Lilypad. You can see many amazing layouts by Melissa scrapping her family and especially her two adorable children. Melissa is one of those talented scrappers that can go back and forth between pocket style and regular digital layouts seamlessly. Melissa also takes the most gorgeous photos which just further enhances her layouts. We asked Melissa to describe her style, and this is what she had to say:
“I feel like my style is pretty simple. I admire pages just chock full of goodies, but usually find myself taking elements off the page before I’m finished. I use a lot (A LOT) of kraft paper. And pink! If you look at my gallery, you’ll notice I tend to scrap several pages in a row using the same color – never on purpose! My pocket pages usually end up with an element of white space (usually in the form of journaling cards) because I like creating a little bit of space around the colorful photos. I love pretty pictures, but have learned that when photographing real life the photos aren’t always perfect . . . and that is okay. It’s more important to me to document the memory than skip it simply because I’m not happy with the photo.”
Here is some fantastic inspiration from Melissa:
Each page is linked so you can go to the gallery and leave Melissa some love. Or just go to the sale right now, and make your own fun projects with the products Sarah chose! These particular products will be on sale for two weeks.
