Polly Pick – Lynne-Marie

This is where I gush about the Polly.  I have to tell you EVERYtime it is easy to gush, because the people at the Lily Pad are ALL wonderful. This Polly  that is picking is Lynne-Marie, affectionately called LM around the pad!  LM has been a friend to me before the Lily Pad (I know you all are thinking, life before the Lily Pad??).   Recently, Lynne-Marie spearheaded and encourages so many on the 12 week challenge to love yourself.  This was a challenge about changing from the inside and believing in yourself for more.  This is LM in a nutshell. She is always pushing herself for more, to change, become better and her work reflects this too!

“My scrapbook style is heavy on paint, stamps and hand-drawn scribbles mixed with paper bits and vintage pieces. I use very few flowers and you’ll never find a ribbon on my page, unless it’s flat. I appreciate clever design in all it’s forms… so it was really easy to dig up a few of my favorites here at the Lilypad!”

 

Taking a gaze thru LM’s gallery is inspiration in itself…you will see her most cherished family and her passion for them! I am such a fan of her HUGE photos along with bigger than life titles that enhance the thought of the page! Pure magnificent and still with a quality of realness that blends together perfectly!

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
