November Challenges

Hello everyone!  It’s Polly Karen here again.  Now that the hoopla and fun of DSD is wrapping up, it’s time to take a look at the 7 new challenges for the month of November.  We have 7 new challenges every month to kick start your mojo and get you scrapping.  If you play along you can earn yourself a lovely coupon for your next shopping trip in our store!  (2 Challenges = 10%, 4 Challenges = 20% and 6 Challenges = 30%)  Also, if you complete all 7 challenges you will be entered in a drawing to win one of two guest spots on the Creative Team (to be a Polly) for one month!  That is a prize worth creating for!  Now let’s take a look at this month’s challenges.

1.  BYOC Challenge – This month’s BYOC challenge is hosted by Amanda (gracielou).  The challenge is to use 90% of the products on your page from this month’s BYOC collection AND use products from at least 3 designers.  This should be an easy one since the BYOC collections are designed with a common color palette they are perfect for mix and matching!  Here is a layout created by Amanda:

2.  Products Challenge – Amanda (MandaKay) is hosting the Product challenge this month and she has chosen the fabulous new line of Mobile fonts as the product to play with.  You can download these products as a font only, pngs only or you can select to purchase both and use them on your layouts and your mobile photos.  Amanda wants you to use some of these products on either a layout or on a photo posted to Facebook or Instagram.  Here is a layout that Amanda created with a few fun doodles:

3.  Random Challenge – Anne (AnneofAlamo) is the host for November’s Random Challenge.  Anne wants you to create a layout with at least 5 circles on it.  Here is a fabulous page with lots of fun circles on it created by Anne to getting you going round and round:

4.  Template Challenge – Renee (renee82) is host of this month’s template challenge.  The ever generous Amy Martin has once again supplied a fantastic free template for you to play with.  Just create a page using this free template.  You can flip it, rotate it, mix it up or use it as it is.  Here is the free template and followed by a layout created by Renee using Amy’s template:

5.  Journaling Challenge – I am so excited to be able to host this month’s journaling challenge.  My challenge to you is to create a page and journal about something that frustrates you.  It can be a photoless page, but certainly does not have to be.  Here is a sample page that I created:

6.  One Word Challenge – Dana is hosting this month’s One Word Challenge and has very appropriately chosen (for those in the US) the word Thanks.  Create your page with the word Thanks (or thankful, Thanksgiving, etc) in your title or journaling.  Here is a layout created by Dana:

7.  Scraplift Challenge – Julie (mrs2a50) is the host of November’s scraplift challenge.  Julie has selected member Jenny’s gallery to scraplift from.  Browse through Jenny gorgeous gallery and pick a page of hers that you love and create your page based on her page.  Here is the layout Julie selected to scraplift:
