March Challenges
Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen back again with a look at our new batch of monthly challenges for March. Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.) You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store. (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%). Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?! You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!! Pretty great, right?! So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Scraplift Challenge – Lynnette is hosting the Scraplift Challenge for this month and she would like you to scraplift a layout by Tiffany (tiffany scraps) this month.. Simply pick a layout from Tiffany’s Gallery and create a scraplifted version. Here is a look at a layout that Lynnette picked, followed by her scraplifted version:
2. Random Challenge – Heather (HeatherB) is hosting the Random Challenge for March and would you to create a layout that uses pocket card as an element on a non-pocket card type page. Here’s a great example that Heather created:
3. Photography Challenge – The next challenge is the Photography Challenge which is being hosted by Lori (lcpereyra). Lori would like you to take a new photo that captures FUN, then create a layout featuring your fun photo. Here’s a fun layout created by Lori:
4. Template Challenge – The Template Challenge for March is being hosted by Christa (cfile). All you have to do to play along is download the free template made by Christa and then create a layout using that template. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample layout that Christa made using it:
5. Style Challenge – Natasha (bcnatty) is hosting the Style Challenge for March and is challenging you to create a layout that features a big & bold title on your page. Here’s a fabulous layout that Natasha created:
6. Journaling Challenge – The Journaling Challenge for this month, hosted by Stefanie (StefanieS) is all about capturing with you’re currently doing in life. She has a great list of “-ing” words in the forum and would like you to pick at list 5 of those words to capture what’s current in your life right now. Here’s a look at a great sample layout that Stefanie created:
7. Inspiration Challenge – Justine (bellbird) is hosting this month’s Inpsiration Challenge. She has posted some great pictures of the fashion from the Met Gala last year in her forum thread and she would like you to drawn inspiration from those gorgeous photos and create a layout inspired by at least two things from those photos. Here’s Justine’s great layout:
8. BYOC Challenge – Finally we have the BYOC Challenge. This challenge will be hosted and posted by Jenn (jk703) on Friday, March 7th, when the BYOC Collection for March will be released in the store. The challenge will be to use 90% of the products on your page from this month’s BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers.

There is your quick peek at this month’s brand new batch of challenges. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above. Then be sure to also post them to the appropriate thread in the challenge forum. Don’t forget to post all of your completed layouts in the Challenge Layouts thread so we can be sure to get you the proper coupon at the end of the month.
