Make It Monday Thanks Card

Happy Make It Monday! Polly Robin here with another simple thank you card to share.  This week I need to make a card for a fellow outdoor enthusiast, so I went looking in the store for a fun, nature-themed kit.  Thankfully I found Garden Variety by Kim Jensen!  The cacti were perfect for the pun that I wanted to use, and the papers were bright and eye-catching.

First, I designed my card in Photoshop to get my arrangement and proportions down.  This is what I came up with:

Next, I created two PDFs which allowed me to print my background paper, the mat, the cacti, and the upmost layer.  I knew I had a “thanks” die, but I went ahead and printed my “I’d be stuck without you!” saying directly on my top layer.  Who needs stamps when you can print?!  After printing, I used my rectangular stitching dies to cut out the three pieces of paper and then fussy cut my cacti.  Once all that was done, I had all my pieces ready for assembly:

Then it was just a matter of putting some foam tape on the mat layer and cacti for dimension, arranging everything, and gluing all the parts down.  Voila! My card was done!

It’s just that simple.  I love being able to use my digi products to make hybrid cards.  It’s the best of both worlds ????  Well, that’s it for me.  Thanks for reading this post and see y’all next month!
