Just a Few Froggy Favorites

I was looking through the July Froggy Favorites thread at The Lilypad and was blown away once again by the talent and beauty represented in our Gallery.  Today, I wanted to pick out just a few pages to show you.  And believe me, choosing a few among all of that awesome-ness was not an easy task.

I hope you are just as inspired by these as I was…

The first page is actually the 1st page in the thread.  I just cannot stop looking at this soft perfection.  But honestly, the photo treatment is what really makes me swoon.  It is an amazing photo to begin with and was made even better by Carrie, matching the theme of the page wonderfully.

 

 

This page by TheMrsPeel just took my breath away.  The artistry of it is amazing and her use of color was masterful.  What a delight to the eyes!

 

Nancy Beck created this page that reminds me of classic paper scrapping and is just wonderful.  I love the neutral background, the paper stacks, the composition, the super fun photo and her amazing stitch work.  Love this page!

I love this patriotic and spunky page by Christina.  The firework stamps add a little grunge while the overall page is still paper-esque.  Fabulous combination of elements and techniques.

I just had to add this Project Life page from Nixenkind.  Her diary/project life pages are inspiring, full of life and just plain fun.  There is plenty to see on each page, and this one is no exception.  Perfect.

 

And last for today, but not least is this gorgeous page by Katherine B.  I am totally inspired by this technique and find this page amazing in many ways.  This one needs a frame for sure!

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
