June Challenges

Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen back again with a look at our new batch of monthly challenges for June. Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.) You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store. (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%). Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?! You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!! Pretty great, right?! So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Template Challenge – The Template Challenge for June is being hosted by Natasha (bcnatty). All you have to do to play along is download the free template made by NBK Designs and then create a layout using that fun template. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample layout that Natasha made using it:
2. Style Challenge – The next challenge on the list for June is the Style Challenge hosted by Courtney (bestcee). She has picked the style of a double page layout for this month, so find a topic with lots of great pictures and create yourself a fun double page layout. Here’s a look at a double page layout that Courtney created:
3. Random Challenge – The Random Challenge for June is being hosted by Heather (HeatherB) and she would like to challenge you to create a layout that features of reflected title. She has given some simple instructions on how she likes to create a reflected title in her forum thread too. Check out this super cool page she made for her challenge!
4. Scraplift Challenge – Monica (umyesh) is hosting the Scraplift Challenge for this month and she has to decided to pick the Month of Challenges 12 Gallery for you to scraplift from this month. Simply take a look at the Month of Challenges 12 Gallery, find a layout you love and then create a layout inspired by it. Here is a look at a layout that Monica picked, followed by her scraplifted version:
5. Photography Challenge – The next challenge for June is the Photography Challenge which is being hosted by Lori (lcpereyra) and she has a cool challenge to take a photo from the “Worm’s eye view”. That’s something I never do, so I can’t wait to give this a try! Here’s a fabulous layout that Lori created with her gorgeous worm’s eye view photo:
6. Journaling Challenge – The Journaling Challenge for this month is being hosted by Ann-Sofie (Annsofie) and she is challenging you to create a layout with at least five sentences of journaling about a special gift the you’ve given or received. Here’s a sweet layout that Ann-Sofie created about a doll she received as a gift:
7. Inspiration Challenge – Christa (cfile) is hosting the Inspiration Challenge for this month and she would like you to be inspired by a song lyric this month. You may choose any song lyric that speaks to you and then create a layout inspired by that lyric. Here’s a gorgeous layout that Christa created inspired by a Bette Midler lyric about a rose:
8. BYOC Challenge – Finally we have the BYOC Challenge. This challenge will be hosted and posted by Kayla (keepscrappin) on Friday, June 7th, when the BYOC Collection for June will be released in the store. The challenge will be to use 90% of the products on your page from this month’s BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers.

There is your quick peek at this month’s brand new batch of challenges. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above.
