Happy Mother’s Day, Lilypad Peeps. Well, almost :). Tomorrow is Mother’s Day so I wanted to take a moment to share a couple of ideas with you from the store that you may find useful in your Mother’s Day scrapping. Whether you are a Mother or not, this day is a beautiful time to reflect on the important women in your life.
I, personally, have found that Mother’s Day around here goes better if I have low expectations. I have already received my gifts from my littles one, because they were made at school and the kids were too excited to wait to give them to me. (Love their handmade goodness, by the way). And my teenage boys and husband don’t usually think to do anything for me. I know they love me and that’s enough.
It’s a day that is still busy around here. We have church, the laundry still needs to be done, and kids still need to be fed, and life sort of just goes on. And on this particular Mother’s Day, I have a piano recital to attend for my 9 year old. So, you all can imagine how exciting my day is going to be, hehe.
Anyway, I say all of this to say that the “Day” itself is not as important as what it represents. Don’t get caught up in expectations of pampering or being pampered because that just may not happen. Instead, take a bit of time to think about your mother, or grandmother, or whoever poured their life into you as you were growing up. Call them if you are able. Hug them if you are able. Scrap about them, even if they are gone. Love them a little more. And appreciate them.
And to help you do this, here are a few things from the store you may want to check out. Some are sweet, some are snarky, but all can help you tell your story.
OK. So that should get you started.
And while I have you…. don’t forget the AWESOME and RARE sale on all TLP Collabs. I’ve never seen them for this price.
FIVE BUCKS EACH. Grab, hehe…
Have a great Mother’s Day weekend, regardless of what it looks like!
