Happy Memorial Day

For those of us in the United States, Memorial Day is a holiday that sets aside a day for us to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of our country.  I live in an Army town just outside of Ft. Benning, the Home of the Infantry and Armor.  Also, my grandfather, father and husband all served this country valiantly in times of peace and of war.  I know people who lost loved ones in service, so this day is especially significant for me.

Practically, it is a day that is usually spent with family and friends enjoying the coming Summer.  My family is heading to a church picnic in a bit to eat and play.  But above all else, it is a time of reflection.  And regardless of political views, all Americans can all give thanks for those who, through the years, gave their lives in the line of duty to this great Land.

Since scrap is my personal therapy, I thought that on this day, I would show you a few products in TLP store that can be used to scrap these sentiments, both happy and sad.  Some of them are new to me.  Some are familiar.  All seem to stir emotions in me today.  I hope you enjoy the parade…

And finally, I want to point you to a special set of templates created by Amy Martin and Sara Gleason for this weekend.  The proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project which is a worthy cause and one I stand behind as well.

Happy Memorial Day.  We will Remember.
