I’m in love with this dark background she chose!  All of the bright colors and white journaling explode of the page and catch your eye.

Happy Birthday by rlma

Such a sweet layout to celebrate a birthday with!  I love looking at the paint splatters behind the acrylic cake.  Seeing them peek through is so fun.

The pictures layered over the fabulous mask in this layout is pure genius!  The warmness of the colors leaving me with the feeling of enjoying a warm summer night at the fair.

I love how this pocket page doesn’t scream Disney at you, but has a lot of little subtle nods to Disney instead.  The placement of those wood veneers are so fun too!

Wow!  In case you can’t tell, this is a hybrid page.  I love all the layers going on, particularly how they are layered over the painted background.

Sometimes pictures tell the whole story, and these ones do!  I also can’t get enough of those arrows pointing you to the main title for the page.

This pocket page jumped right out of the gallery! I love how two 3 x4 cards were combined in the lower left corner to make one 4 x6 card!  What a smart idea!

Such a sweet smile!  I love how the different textures used on this page.  You’ve got ribbon, lace, stitching, etc.  They all add to the softness of this page.

Sweet Siblings by Trista

Another tender baby page that caught my eye!  I loved the frame and pennant on this one.  Because the background was a little busier that frame really brought my eye in to focus on those two cuties!

The pictures on this layout really caught my eye.  I love how the are split into a couple different squares.  The kit choice is fabulous to highlight the colors of those beautiful shoes and scarf!

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
