On a ride to drop off friends at airport yesterday, the kids binged on 1970’s cartoons. The Jetsons was on, and they were all laughing at the “future” things they had to use in their homes and work.
Many of the inventions, are already happening to a degree. I am a user of a pick up service for my groceries now. I just plug them into the computer and send them off. Someone else (not a robot yet), shops for me, bags them and then beeps my phone when I can pick them up.
Just like our Judy Jetson:
Now I just need someone to put them away and cook them when I want! lol Facetime on Iphones and the other gadgets, make calls with video a breeze today also. , oh my goodness, you can even use a Smart Watch to do the above tasks. The Jetson’s were amazing. I am reminded that Rosie the Robot was a maid and cook and more to the Jetsons. We do have food services that bring food to your door, and the amazing Roomba. The design is almost like a smooshed Rosie! And hey, it entertains kids and adults alike, while cleaning your floor! That is a total win-win situation. Through all the episodes of the Jetson’s one thing they continue to do, that is just like the times now. Snapping shots of the family, the family photo shoot, thru the years.
They continue to have birthdays, happy moments and vacations:
With all the time saving devices, the heart still beats to remember each moment of time, be it the future or times past. Scrapbooking will remain through the test of time. I believe it! We have seen the brick and mortar stores close, as on line became more accessible, and even some of those on-line stores shut down. I do think, there will be a resurgence of the old time cut and paste scrapbook (yikes with scissors and such) because we as humans love to create
. Although we may not leave boxes of photos for the next generations, this generations is a one snap happy, selfie taking, memory capturing group! Those electronic photos, clouds and hard drives are filled with escapades of the past. Those in our future will be curious, they will find new ways to pull those JPGs from old phones and such to create their own books of the former ancestors.
They photo taking will continue and so will scrapbooking!
