- a pedicure to trim up all those unruly skin bits and hangnails on the toes
- a wax of the eyebrows and mustache

type your response below...

the opportunity for a daytime nap when I've had a night of too many hourly (or more frequent) medical procedures. Naps were possible with the children at school, bit not with them at home.

yes and yes!
Naps were possible with the children at school, bit not with them at home.
oh this is so true...I am so off schedule, and every day, I would take a 20 minute nap at 2pm. Now, I just collapse in boredom at random times.

The swimming pool! It hit 100 yesterday, that is F, and we are a month early on heat, with no pool open.

But, I miss shopping, for my boys. I love taking them, as they are really fun shoppers.
Shopping to us means a full day trip to the big city 80 miles away! We have it mapped out, what we hope to find, what we would really love, but will settle for things too! We always try a new place to eat, and go to a store we never have before too. It is an adventure that I love!
We are saving and saving and they are growing and growing! My 15 year old is now a few inches taller than my husband, my 11 year old hugs me and puts his head on my shoulder....just amazing to watch.

I miss being able to run to my local grocery store every day for lunch (salad bar) and to pick-up stuff to make dinner. I'm a struggling with only grocery shopping once a week.

I miss eating out at restaurants.

I miss hanging out with my friends ... we'll been "Zoom-ing" but it's not the same.

I miss just not being able to drive to Walgreen's, or The Dollar Tree or Target, which I haven't done since this all started. I walk around here three or four times a day, but other than that, I've not been in any store. My dd and I ate at The California Pizza Kitchen the night before they started shutting down indoor dining. It seems like years ago.

I am so very much missing my volunteer work in Aged Care. over the years these lovely elderly people have become like family to me. One precious lady turns 100 later this month and I am so hoping I will be allowed back there by then.

Everything outside the house.....long story but as I don’t drive I have to use buses mainly but due to COVD-19 there have been restrictions on how we are to get on or off the buses - at the back door which I can’t do without help so I’ve been at home the entire time of lockdown

Feeling safe everywhere.
Absolutely!

I miss being able to leave my house without preparing ... do I have the face mask, the hand sanitzers etc ?.. and then having to put everything on before going into the grocery (which I only do first thing in the morning during a senior hour day, and that is once every 2-3 weeks...) not going on my regular day and seeing the other "usuals" that I would see from over the years shopping same time/day for a lot of years, and then the major chore of putting everything away.. buying for 2-3 weeks at a time, you have to anticipate what you may end up needing so it it so much more than normal so it takes so long to put all away too... such a long process to sterilize you & everything again, after leaving the store before getting back in the car.. such an event.

I miss jumping in the car going down to the corner store and coming back in a 5 minute run. Hopefully one day again.

with the closed border I miss my visit at the freshmarket in the Netherlands - I miss the fresh fish ... and we can't go to the beach ...

I'm missing face to face adult interaction with friends and co-workers, my mom, the hair salon, the nail salon, and basically just being able to plan to go somewhere like weekend trips or vacations.

my quarantine mistake - I bought these touch up face razor things on Amazon that did a great job until I accidentally sliced a chunk out of one of my eyebrows :giggle

@IntenseMagic Yes to all visible above.:agree [And I might sound like a broken record ( sorry!)] but I miss my little family. DD is in Tx. and DS is here but we rarely see him and DIL still not letting us be a family.<---Miss that! Many are experiencing the separation I have been dealing with now for almost a year. No holidays, no celebrations, no hang out times, not even emergency surgery nor a worldwide pandemic has changed her mind? I never would have thought she..could/would?. :huh:nope Knowing others are feeling some of this now helps a tiny bit. :beatEver. I am facing it, and dealing with it one day at a time. At least she has begun to text me.:yup Maybe...:pray
Hubster and I make deliberate effort to find positive things to do for each other. We did take a day trip yesterday, but it was pretty non eventful due to most things being closed. But I hadda get outta this little town and away from our situation for at least a little while! :neener Funny that it felt odd to be on a highway! LOL!:yesss

Making plans to visit with family and just browsing stores/shopping.
And I really need my hair colored ... I have to go to work everyday and the grey roots is not a fun look!

Oh, and I miss the friendliness we used to experience in public places. Like, people aren't even looking at each other now. ?
