TGIF! Weekend plans?

I've been out car shopping this evening since it's the one evening we have off from football, and I hate it...ugh...but I'm going to have to get something before too much longer. Tomorrow we have a football game at 3:30. We have to be there an hour before the game and it's about 30 min away. Well, it will be at 3:30 if they are running on time. Last week, our game was supposed to start at 7:30 and didn't start until 9:30. We'd been there since 6:30. Sunday will be my day to catch up on laundry and stuff.

That! I thought that Saturday and Sunday were simply two extra work days in the week! I have so many laser cutting orders in right now that it isn't even funny, so I'll be running two machines and watching them on a monitor and praying :pray that they don't set themselves on fire. Again. (If I catch it in time it is no big deal, hence the monitor.) That monitor will be located in our bedroom where I will be doing a deep fall cleaning all weekend, because I am a serial multitasker. And when I need a break from cleaning, I'll sit down at my computer and scrap a little. :)

Seriously? Really they set themselves on fire?

Nothing much actually. :)
I'm gonna do groceries, probably snap some photos, hopefully go to the gym, but mostly just relax. I love weekends like these.

just a big long to do list cause if I want to hang around the pad next weekend i need to be as packed for moving as i can be over the next few days.

Yes! Occasionally they do- every few weeks or so. They are literally burning through the material that they cut, so every once in a while the vapor flares up and ignites, and, since the material being cut is flammable, it sometimes lights up, too. I have a small array of fire extinguishers (most of the time the one that is in a simple aerosol spray can does the trick), watch the monitor like a hawk (each cutter has its own security camera), and am never more than a few steps from the work room when they are running. Usually it's just a quick squirt with the Tundra and a short round of cleanup before I'm up and running again.

@Scrapping with Liz - have fun in China! Heritage trip or are you adding to your family?

Adding 2 more! :)

That's so cool! I don't play, but I think that would be such a fun thing for our local parks . . . hmmm, maybe they already have it and I just don't know about it. LOL

What a gorgeous photo! And yippee for scrapping all weekend!

Is it time for the pick up already? Or is this just the visit? I know you've been waiting forever, but wow, that went by quick!

We will get the on the 16th and fly home on the 27th with them! China doesn't do visits, you get to spend 24 hours with them and then you sign the paperwork to make it all official and then they are officially ours!

When I come visit (you see, I said "when" LOL), I'll want to see this in action!

Thanking God that my husband is still alive! He woke me up Thursday morning at 3:00 to call 911! By 6:30pm he had a heart cath where they found a large blocked artery -- and put a stent in it! So, yes, that pain at 3 in the morning was a heart attack! He feels so much better now! I didn't take any photos during the hospital stay, but we are home and he is doing great! I may have to venture into some digital art journaling to just write down my feelings!

Oh no!!! So glad they were able to catch that and take care of him. Thank goodness!!!! Hugs to you.

Today we lounged around. Our hang out/play date plans were cancelled today, but hopefully will happen tomorrow instead. And I'll probably clean house. I've got some CT work due this coming week for DSD, so I'll be scrapping like crazy in any downtime I find this weekend and week. :)

I'm so glad he was okay. That's TOO eventful of a weekend, for sure!

omg Kim! So glad you both did what was necessary and got that stent in. I bet the weekend was a lot of Whew... and being grateful for hospitals and doctors. To healthy hearts!
