Raise your hand if you're ready for the weekend!
:yippee

Me! Me! After a super busy week, I am definitely looking forward to some relaxation.
My hubby has gone to visit our oldest daughter at college for Dad/Daughter weekend at her sorority. So, it's just me and our youngest this weekend. We're have some nice girl time planned...can't wait.

How about you?

Unzipping all the goodies I downloaded from SOSN and the blog hop! :byay

Also, playing a casual piano concert in a local park. The parks dept has put pianos in various parks for the month (they've done this the last 3 years) and it's so cool to be out hiking or exploring and come across a piano. I love getting to play the piano outdoors, even if they sound a little wonky.

Homecoming, both kids at two different schools. It's funny, the two schools share a stadium, so Clara's homecoming game (that she's cheering at) is at 4:15 and Alex's homecoming game is at 7:15. He'll be there with friends and we'll be across the street at the homecoming festival at Clara's school. She's going to her homecoming dance Saturday night, but Alex is not going to his (his school has more students than room to hold them all, so you have to apply to get tickets and he's never wanted to go badly enough to apply... thankfully his girlfriend feels the same way).

It's also Oktoberfest at the parish where Clara used to go to school (about a block and a half from our house), they shut down the streets for three days and throw a huge party. We're hoping to fit in some time there between all of the homecoming obligations.

Hoping to get some scrapping done this weekend. I am so close to finishing my 2012 album. A scrapping friend is coming to visit on Sunday so that will be fun.

This week was hard for me --- sore throat, cough, and headache... but it seems to be getting better each day.

I'm dropping my boys at the skating rink, and I am gonna scrap scrap scrap all night and tomorrow without guilt!
WE are doing family pics and I am taking other family pics at a sunset bbq at our white sands tomorrow! Can't wait for it!

@AnneofAlamo, that is so pretty!
Brody is in a living wax museum for the Boys & Girls Club tomorrow. Sunday there's a cub scout meeting. I can't remember if we're decorating cakes at that one or the big pack meeting next week. We'll see. Just busy mom stuff as usual.

Lots of catching up on EVERYTHING. I just got back from getting my grandma showered and settled for the day. I have my first PTA meeting today as a board member/chairperson (yikes). We have a bunch of shopping/errands to do since we FINALLY have a car!!!! I have to take my grandma and Kennedy to get their hair done tomorrow. (Her hair washed/set and his cut.) Luckily it is with the same hairdresser. :) I have about 8 loads of laundry needing to be folded/put away (in baskets throughout the downstairs) and then more to wash. I really want to get out to see Magnificent Seven (not usually my type of movie, but I love Vincent D'Onofrio and Denzel, so I have to see it) but I'm not sure if that will be do-able.

My daughter has some NERF war thing tonight at her friend's church; I'm still at work, so my husband is going to have to drop her off. (Usually my thing, but it's a weeknight and I tend to work late on Fridays, catching up from all my leaving early days during the week.)

Tomorrow she has a birthday party, which my husband also has to take her to, because after I pick my son up from marching band practice (and he gets cleaned up), I am taking him and five of his friends to the indoor trampoline park. (For his birthday, instead of a family party, I take the birthday kid and 4-5 friends on an outing of their choice. It's actually cheaper than the party and I don't have to clean the house! LOL)

On Sunday, my friend's singing group is having a dinner fundraiser and we'll be going there right after church. I'll use the rest of Sunday to get caught up on both last week's and this week's laundry piles. I need to pay my bills sometime too. :)

Weekend? What is this of which you speak LOL?

I usually work Sat and Sun - but actually this weekend will be fun/exciting as we are flying up to Auckland tomorrow and I'll be spending the day taking photos for our news website. Unfortunately I didn't factor in the clocks changing for Spring when planning it, so what was an early start will now be a painfully 3.30am type start :-0

Thankfully we have a little bit of downtime planned for this weekend. We all desperately need it.... well, at least I do and so does my 7th grader. It's been WAY nutso with sports and homework already this school year. I'm hoping to do a little painting to rejuvenate my creative side.

As wonderful as a relaxing weekend sounds it's not for me. We have friends from out of town here this weekend so I am in "entertain" mode. We did lunch and wine tasting today, I'm getting dinner ready as we speak and then tomorrow is another wine day followed by another dinner (including our neighbors who I adore). So super busy but should be a lot of fun!!

That's so cool! I don't play, but I think that would be such a fun thing for our local parks . . . hmmm, maybe they already have it and I just don't know about it. LOL

What a gorgeous photo! And yippee for scrapping all weekend!

I have a to do list a gazillion miles long. 2 weeks and counting and we are off to China!

We do have a neighborhood get together tomorrow night and having a sleepover tonight. I think I've overbooked myself. How will I get it all done?!?

Is it time for the pick up already? Or is this just the visit? I know you've been waiting forever, but wow, that went by quick!

Had plans last weekend but got rained out. So maybe a scrapping weekend unless dh decides to work on rearranging things. Oh and that thing called homework but it's so mild it's not funny.

Daniel has a couple of friends over for a sleepover tonight, so it's a bit loud here right now. Hubby is playing his computer game and I'm catching up on some computer stuff for a while, as long as I can handle sitting here. I have some designing to do, and I really, really want to scrap! I think scrapping is going to win out!

Tomorrow is the Alabama game me and hubby will watch and then just hanging out here at the house. More of that on Sunday. So more designing and scrapping in between there.

Now that I've typed it out, it sounds heavenly!

Weekend? What is this of which you speak LOL?

That! I thought that Saturday and Sunday were simply two extra work days in the week! I have so many laser cutting orders in right now that it isn't even funny, so I'll be running two machines and watching them on a monitor and praying :pray that they don't set themselves on fire. Again. (If I catch it in time it is no big deal, hence the monitor.) That monitor will be located in our bedroom where I will be doing a deep fall cleaning all weekend, because I am a serial multitasker. And when I need a break from cleaning, I'll sit down at my computer and scrap a little. :)
