October Inspiration Challenge

Hello fellow Lilypad dwellers!!

Natasha here, bringing you October's edition of the Inspiration Challenge.

My Inspiration this month is my oldest daughter. She is only 16 and is currently in the first month of a 10 month student exchange program...in Italy. Woah...I know, crazy, right? She has completely immersed herself in the culture, is living with a host family and attending high school...which is taught completely in Italian. And no, she is not fluent in Italian...so it has been a struggle for her.

She is missing her senior year with her high school friends, missing graduation, missing prom, missing her basketball team...all to experience this adventure...on her own. She was met with some negative reactions to her decision...but to those who matter the most, we were behind her 100%

When I think back to myself in high school...I don't know if I would have had the guts to do what she is doing. She is braver than most think, to even consider doing this when she is still in high school.

She is my inspiration!!!

This month, your challenge is to find inspiration in someone who is near and dear to you.

I want to hear their story, I want to see why they inspire you, and in turn, maybe they will inspire someone here to go out of their comfort zone, seize life by the horns and go live an adventure!!

The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:

2 challenges = 10% off
4 challenges = 20% off
6 challenges = 30% off

If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
