MOC '17 training HERE! bhwhahaha

Well, it made a difference and I completed over 70 layouts!

70 layouts?!? I'm not worthy!

I've never completed MOC! Yikes! lol! I think I need to take more decent photos haha since the little diva started walking I haven't got the time to take out my big cam. She's too fast for me lol! Good thing my phone's cam can take "some" decent ones esp when we're outside. I slacked in this department and I will try to remedy that ASAP, in time for MOC! :D

January 2016 was my first MOC (mach...LOL) I completed all 31 challenges some of which were truly challenges pushing me outside my box...I printed all but 5 of them and 2 are in the "print maybe" folder. I have lots to catch up on so all my pages have to count. I don't scrap chronologically so I jump from year to year A LOT, but that allows me to use every challenge as a "print this page" and to choose photos that match the challenge.

prep for me is getting my TLP kits better labeled...last year I had VERY few, most of my LO were kits from the same 2 designers. but this year I have much more I just need to find them easier.

I think I can handle the 31 in 31...my best month was august at 50+...not as good as Cheryl, but good enough for MOC LOL

I don't do any prep ... I just wing it!

(but I didn't finish last year bc school started and I had 4 demanding classes w/labs!) Hoping to finish this year.

OMG @Karen I was so fascinated with the table and what a cool product it was I barely even noticed she was tread-milling in a skirt! bwahahah! And my husband (who also works from home) does too. He uses a tall bar stool to sit his laptop on and takes his calls/meetings while walking or biking!

Yay!! I love MOC (pronounced Em Oh Cee)!!

I've got the photo thing down. I take lots and lots of photos. I'm trying to build up my stash of products to use.

I'm looking forward to MOC 2017!!! I'll take lots of photos this month. However, I frequently just had to wing it last year (my first MOC) and sometimes take a photo that day to use for the challenge. I keep an Excel table of my kits with theme, designer, and store so I can sort of Lilypad and find all my Lilypad kits. I've accumulated quite a few this year.

The 2016 MOC was my first one and it was one of my best scrapping experiences because I learned so much and it pushed me to do things that just don't come naturally to my scrapping, like JOURNALLING. I am pretty organized photo-wise, but I need to be thinking about things I might write about. I was pleased with my completed journal pages last year and I will be glad to get a nudge to do more of them during the 2017 MOC.

I only got here in Jan 16 even though I bought stuff earlier. Doing the challenges each month has, yes, given me some layouts I don't care for but I got them done. It WAS good practice!

I would have never thought of this even though I do make my own templates or supply stash for various products. Thank you!
I like having a "baseline" layout template set up. It contains my favorite kraft and grid papers (on separate layers, so I can turn them on and off as needed), a text box with my favorite journaling font ready to go with the right size, spacing, etc., and the same for the date text. It only saves a few minutes, but over 31 layouts those few minutes can add up!

I will not take more pictures than I do normaly. the MOC is a good way to scrap "old" pictures.
I've started digiscrap in 2012 and I've tons of my first son born in 2009 to scrap. so it's perfect for new and old pictures !
and I'm sure it will be an awesome month as usual...

Christmas with a toddling little diva -- oh what fun pictures you can be taking. I did part of my Christmas album during MOC (come to think of it, that's about all I did).

Are we allowed to remind of challenges -- like find your Year in Review or something about 2016 page, and your least favorite type pages (pocket pages, double page spread, clean and simple), maybe mark some in the gallery you might like to scraplift,

golly, I don't know @carilyne? I think if we don't paste last years challenges..bhaha
I to be honest only remember a few...low memory on my hard drive brain!

I have the list haha -- year long one was the hardest for me.
But I can post the list. But I think that would not be good.
Oh that reminds me -- practice your extractions too. For Anne likes to teach us fun stuff to do with them.
