MOC '17 training HERE! bhwhahaha

LOL okay I won't fight so hard. But first I have to figure out to do first when I open Photoshop.

I jumped in on my first MOC last year. While I didn't finish, I did manage to get far more layouts done that month than I usually would so I'm really looking forward to it again this year. I haven't taken many every day photos though this year but do have photos from our daughter's wedding and a couple of trips we took so hopefully there's enough material there to see me through.
I'm going to try and get more challenges done here this month and next month though for training purposes! ;-)

I can't wait for MOC ... I hope I get in quick enough to host a challenge this year .... the pressure is one backstage to get a spot hosting because we have so much fun!

Started a folder of favorite photos last night. SO MANY pics to go through but that's how I'm prepping right now. :)

Yep, the excitement is building! Like @rchansen I'm getting some photos organized and ready to use. But I know a lot of photos I use will be chosen when I know what a challenge is, so I feel there's not too much pressure to get them ready (just a few to get me started). I'll probably use a lot of photos taken over the holiday too so I'll try to be diligent and get them loaded quickly into lightroom to edit, and then they'll be ready to use.

This is all so exciting! I love seeing everyone's galleries grow during MOC! I have a bunch of photos I need to scan (vintage photos my sister had that I "inherited" this fall when she passed away) so I can scrap them and MOC is the perfect opportunity to get them scrapped!

@carilyne, installing fonts on your computer is really easy & doesn't require you to open or use Photoshop at all. If you have a PC, I'll reply with some instructions & then you can have some fonty fun during MOC. :)

I've done MOC twice, I think, and not this past January so maybe 2014 and 2015?!

I will hopefully be working FT by then so I might have to scrap my booty off on the weekends to keep caught up. My birthday is that month so maybe I can shove my kids & husband out the door... I mean politely ask if they would be so kind as to go elsewhere for a few hours while I marathon scrap to celebrate turning the big 3-7. :bunny:giggle

Thank you. I know it isn't hard just haven't done it in a long while. At the time I wrote that I was dealing with too much stuff on my plate and was on the edge of big grouch. I might be able to handle it next week when all the big pressures will be gone.

I'm really looking forward to it. Last year was my first MOC and the past few weeks I've been so busy with life and in a scrapping slump so I'm hoping MOC will help me get back into it.

Ok, I think I've got it now and am going to just jump right in. I'm pretty good doing monthly challenges, I have alot of free time, and a gazillion pictures from this past year just begging me to play with them. What I need to get is Lilypad kits, I believe that's all I'm lacking.

That and the sense to think before I jump head on into this, but really....what kinda fun is that? So tomorrow, I'm hitting the shop and scouring for freebies around the Pad too ;).

@Squirrely . MoC last year had to be done with kits currently in the shop. Freebies ok as long as they are in the shop too... One really super way to stretch your stash is to get a Lilypad collab. That way you get lots of different designers in a big enormous kit.and you get to know their designs. Have fun .Enjoy.

Not a problem, I just went shopping and hopefully got enough goodies to get me rolling. Who am I kidding, yes, I DID get MORE than enough lol. My name is Squirrely, and I'm a scrapaholic shopaholic. ;)

I recommend signing up for all the newsletters and the collabs are a big bang for your buck! There are 11 days left and you can do the fun challenges for the month easy peasy before that (good training for MOC too) and most of the designers also have their own challenges going on...so you can win more prizes and coupons too!
