does Peyton get excited about 'new stuff's or is it all a bit scary at first?
challenge accepted! bhahhaGiving Anne a run for her money with the longest Pad Patter title in history
Smart girl!I'm not technically "wrapping" this year, but I brought my big bag of bags with me so I have Christmas bags. I'm "wrapping" everything in Christmas bags this year.
I've never had a dog but I thought they all loved chasing balls but the turtle & new hedgehog sound more my style too lolDepends on the toy. Turns out she doesn't like balls at all, especially hard rubber. I even bought her some soft balls that I could throw in the house and she doesn't want anything to do with them. But give her a stuffed toy or soft rubber she is thrilled. The toy she likes me to throw so she can chase it like a ball is a soft rubber turtle. There's another one shaped like a baby's pacifier that she loves as well. Her present this year is a stuffed hedgehog.
Even Pepper and Paige (the Havanese I had before this Havanese) didn't play with balls. So I don't know if it just something this breed isn't interested in. Never thought to ask any other owners of Havanese. Peyton's groomer gave her a small hard rubber ball a couple years ago. It was outside on the patio for the longest time. It only moved when I moved it. All 3 of my Havanese have loved stuffed toys. I think it is a texture thing for them because they all liked socks and wash cloths and towels. Peyton has a really old hand towel that she will drag around the house.I've never had a dog but I thought they all loved chasing balls but the turtle & new hedgehog sound more my style too lol
Yeah!!!!The good news is we were approved to get the vaccine at my hospital this week - Wed and yesterday many of the staff and providers rec'd the vaccine, no adverse reactions at all. I'm getting it next week!
I made the mistake of going in a store for last minute things and came out with way too many haha hopefully they all fit in the stockings because I don't want to wrap them!
One of the 'sold everywhere ' toys for birds is a colourful hard plastic ball with holes in it & a bell inside. My DD commented the other day that the new birds just ignore it too, same as our other cockatiels have done but it's often in various parrot YouTube videos being picked up with their feet & thrown or pushed around with their beaks (or they lie on their backs & hold it with their claws & play with it like a baby would a rattle) but I've never seen it in real life so maybe there's a lot of breed specific things & I've never thought to ask other owners either!Even Pepper and Paige (the Havanese I had before this Havanese) didn't play with balls. So I don't know if it just something this breed isn't interested in. Never thought to ask any other owners of Havanese

He is enjoying it. It's a totally different pace, and he loves it! I love that he doesn't come home as exhausted each day.How is he finding the new hospital?
that has to be hard to hear with all the preparations already made by so many people in the UK. From the news here i understand it's being presented as a choice between seeing family at xmas or an ICU room during the new year which puts it in perspective, decisions at the top i'm sure are not taken lightly, but the changing guidelines and frustration are both understandable. Part of Sydney is locked down at the moment and the decision about xmas gatherings & masses etc is apparently being figured out and announced Wed nightwe are still making gifts at the moment, but will have finished by the time we see the recipients.
As for Christmas food shopping and Christmas time planning, that is something we are normally very well organised with - we have to be. And we were this year to until 4pm yesterday when the Government suddenly announced that our Christmas plans are now illegal. At the previous announcement they had told us we could do what we were planning so we finalised our plans.
My in-laws have bought in food for 7 for the 5 days over Christmas that we were going to visit them for, and we've bought nothing. They now have too much food (much of it special diet stuff for our gluten free needs) and we are going to have to join the last minute food shopping rush. I've got more emergency medical supplies for the children than we need as we have to have spares and extras when traveling.
Gifts we ordered to be delivered here, or bought locally, as we expected to hand deliver them now need posting or delaying until we see them again. Didn't expect to need to have them delivered to the recipients directly.
LOL living in a dead end street, hearing a car we automatically think it's a delivery van, it's usually just someone who's lost in a succession of cul-de-sacsI'm waiting on the mail. Eternally, right?
