Welcome to the July Monthly Muse! Each week in the month of the July you are required to use the given word prompt. This week your word prompt is: YOU-nique How you use the word is up to you. Scrap about yourself and what makes you “YOU –nique.” Scrap about a loved one and what makes them “YOU–nique.” Scrap about the “YOU–niqueness” of something - fungi, a pet, a favorite food – the skies the limit. The minimum requirement is that “you-nique” (or one of its alternatives) shows up at least once on your page. You may use “you-nique” as the title, as word art, blended into the background or embedded into your journaling (if the location is not obvious, just let me know where it is in the description). Challenge Requirements: 1. For the Monthly Muse, you may create any style of layout (i.e., clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.), with or without a photo. Create any size page you wish. The Art Muse is for everyone; have FUN! 2. You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). 3. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE by Midnight, 01 AUG 2022 and post your layout in this thread by copying the "Share BB Code" to the right of your gallery image. Each post, regardless of the week posted in the month of July earns you one chance to win a $5 coupon to the TLP store. Thus, 1 Muse = 1 chance to win 2 Muses = 2 chances to win 3 Muses = 3 chances to win 4 Muses = 4 chances to win 4. Use the word “YOU-nique” on your layout. You may use alternatives including: YOU-niquely YOU-niquness I look forward to each of your YOU-nique spins on the word this week! Here is mine using “YOU-niquely Me.” And my hybrid layout:
Read this challenge yesterday, and literally the next moment I stumbled on this quote. Couldn't be a coinsidence! Also, used the tutorial mentioned in the thread in Summer school about ghosted titles. Thanks for the challenge - here's my layout:
I had such fun looking up words to describe things about me that I love (thus making me you-nique) - found a list of 50 "philes" which was kind of interesting.
Here's mine. It's a little different for me as far as art journaling goes, so still deciding how I feel about the page.
I had so much fun with this! Inspired by your hybrid paper bag album, I decided to print my background on a paper bag, and that worked perfectly! I also used some (very neglected) green crayons and black acrylic for accents. Thanks for the inspiration, I really needed to just play!
