January 5: Inspiration Board Challenge

This is the challenge I've struggled with most in the past, but this one came fairly easily.
Thanks for inspiring me to play a bit with intentions and focus for 2019.

I was afraid I'd have to step away from my Disney themed layouts for this challenge but after lots of thinking I managed to come up with one that both covers my own personal goal as well as keeping it Disney related.

I LOVE this photo of our oldest daughter. She is becoming an inspiration to me when it comes to her 'take on the world' attitude. Moana symbolizes this and is now her favourite Disney princess. I can only hope I can apply this brave, spirited, fearless attitude in my own life.

Inspired by color palette, cluster of flowers, grid (lower right), silhouette (rain/umbrella), grunge and stars, and butterfly (in cluster of flowers). My goal for this year is to create something everyday - MOC7 for January plus reinvigorating my photography by taking photos everyday.

Goal; Being succesful in my new job after 30 years in the same profession.
 
I can already predict that this will be my most challenging challenge of the month! I do not "get" mood boards or vision boards. They not only do not inspire me, but they are sensory overload/confusion to me. I become a deer in the headlights. I had to wait until many others had posted just to see what inspired them! Actually, the directive to focus on/illustrate a goal was the most inspiring thing about the challenge. Since I have but one major goal/ambition in life, the direction I would go clarified what I would create. Once again, I have to thank TLP team, in this case, HeyJude, for forcing me out of my comfort zone and helping my prove to myself that almost anything is possible in DigiWorld! WHEW! I DID IT! LOL

Interesting challenge, thank you so much! After a difficult year with some significant set-backs, my goal this year is to remember that all forward movement is a win! One foot in front of the other! <3

Inspiration points:
1) Nested photos inspired reflection in my glasses (Temple of Heaven)
2) Splattered paint inspired my paint splatters
3) Raised text in "next chapter" quote inspired levels in title work
4) The word "Fierce" inspired my MLK quote
5) The black/white/gray inspired my black/white palette.
 
Practising clipping paper to swirls to make it look like paint !

What an awesome challenge!! There were so many things that inspired my layout. Here are just 5 of them.
1. Dark moodines
2. Colors mustard, pink and blue
3. Graffitti
4. Umbrellas
5. Flowers

 
I super struggled with this.

1. Colours - blue and yellow (I used the colour picker add on for Chrome and picked the exact blues from the board for the letters and frame.
2. The quote at the top looked like a letterboard to me, so I ran with it.
3. How things were "clipped" in the bottom right, so I took the inspiration of "pinning" to the letter board using a brad from Tuesday Morning kit.
4. Butterfly
5. Flowers
[Bonuses in case I didn't quite make it with one of the others]
6. The picture of the lady looking to the side, so I took a self portrait just for this layout of myself looking over to my side.
7. All caps/the lettering for the title.
