January 5: Inspiration Board Challenge

Inspired by:
1. The quote "Never Let Your fear decide your future", because I fear of letting things just happen, and I tend to plan and control everything.
2. The bw photo of the woman in the left corner
3. Butterfly
4. Pink and light blue from color palletecolor palette
5. Flowers

This is my take.
My 5 items:
1. b/w photo
2. colors of BYOC
3. the quotes
4. the use of the square blocks on the mood board
5. the artsy style

I chose to do a page about my son and his husband. After 3 years of having their house as a rental house (they moved to another state for jobs and rented it out but had major issues with the renters for those 3 years and finally were able to get them out & SOLD it and now they can start the next chapter they have been waiting for: start a family. They just started the adoption process. VERY EARLY in the process but hopefully 2019 will bring a new addition to the family.

Their goal/dream is 'start a family'.

I hope this is ok...

Hello :) I do have a question. Is the color palette above just a suggestion or something that we have to use?

The color palette is not required, it is just one piece of inspiration that you can use on your page if you choose to do so. :)

I was inspired by:
1. The paint dripping (paint splatter underneath the photo)
2. The quote about what inspires you (thus my husband and baby, and drinking coffee/family)
3. The black and white photo treatment top left (thus the black and white photo)
4. The colour orange (thus the choice in background paper)
5. The capital letters (thus 'WE ARE')

Goal theme: My OLW this year is 'Enough' and so my personal goals are to understand what this means in the context of who I am. 'What is /enough/' in all aspects of our lives, starting from the premise, that who we are, is already enough. We don't need more, so how can I work in these areas to increase self-confidence in this belief and do better when it comes to FOMO, comparison, etc etc.

I think I'm understanding the rule #1 correctly, but would like to confirm before I finish my layout. I know what my dream / goal is for 2019, but I don't want to do a ton of journaling on the layout since its meaning is obvious to me. If I understand right, I can explain in the comments how my layout is an inspiration?

Thanks!

You are correct. There is no journaling requirement for this challenge. :)

Thanks for the fun challenge! I've included the following in the gallery as well as products used.
I was inspired by the following:
1) Portrait orientation rectangles to make my grid.
2) Chapter quote to make a page about books.
3) Scripty font in Follow Your Purpose word art to make my text a script font.
4) Dark blue and yellow colors to make my background.
5) Vertical stripes of color in the umbrella pic to use the vertical stripe paper in my background.
(extra) 6) Things that excite you quote because I'm excited to read more in 2019!
My goal is to read 32 books in 2019, one more than in 2018 (stated on the bottom right journal card).

Inspired by:
1. Yellow colour
2. Umbrella
3. Two font title
4. cluster of flowers
5. scatter from the bottom picture (2 in from the right)

Goal to be more happy - basically smile when it rains.

Here's mine! This was very challenging, but super fun!

From the mood board, I was inspired by:
1. Bricks
2. Color palette
3. Solelmn face
4. Quote
5. Flower
6. Paint
My goal featured on this page is to stop dwelling on the past and just move on!

These are always the hardest for me! eeek! More detailed break down in gallery

January 5-Inspiration Board Challenge

My goal is to focus more on myself and making myself happy.

Inspiration:
1. Color Pallette
2. Flower Cluster
3. Paint Splatter
4. Blending in Photo from upper left
5. Quotes and Phrases

Whee! My inspiration from the mood board:
1. Brick wall behind quote - I used as page background
2. Light fixture over quote "You can't start ..."
3. Quote - I took inspiration from the quote "You can't start ..." and used my own quote from scripture
4. B & W of butterfly - I used a b&w butterfly but also b&w in a mat for the blocks
5. Blocked design
6. BYOC circles of color - echoed that and used some of those colors in my blocks
7. Use of word art
8. Greens in mood board - Green is one of my favorite colors and represents growth so I used it on a couple of blocks as background and included a plant and some leaves as indications of growth.
