January 5: Embracing Imperfection (Photography Challenge)

The original photo was very dark and also had lots of 'distracting' elements...so I lightened the photo and cropped it to fix.

The orginal photo I ued as the background of this page was much larger, out of focus and had no real center focus. By using it with the paint and word art, it helps to illustrate the story. I sharpened and severely cropped the original then covered bad spots with paint.

My picture was blurry, had too many things in the background & I cut off my nieces arms, but the pure joy on her face made me not care at all. The only thing I did was boost the colors.

Wow...I had so many pics to choose from!! I ended up going with this one because it shows just how crazy our Christmas was. Which ended up being perfect for us. No one is looking at the camera, the lighting isn't even throughout the photo, some people are blurry...but this was exactly what our Christmas was like.

Here is my layout:

These pictures were taken just before we went upstairs for my son to get ready for bedtime and most of the lights were off so the pictures came out very dark.

The photo was VERY dark and I had to lighten it to fix it

My original photo was too busy and no one was looking at the camera. I changed it to black and white and blended it into the background.

This was imperfect as I'd tried to get a good shot of my son but all I got was strange faces (and slightly blurred) as he was stuffing his face! I went with the photo anyway and changed it to black and white, blending it into the background so the blurring isn't as obvious. Original photo not included as I haven't changed it too much!

This photo was taken at one of those indoor kid play areas with the netting and dark tunnels. I tried to get a photo of my hyper two year old grandchild, Stori, and took like 10 photos and this was the only one I can tell its a human in the photo! The rest were blurs or shadows. I brightened it and cropped it close.

A great challenge Kim! I'm so glad I scrapped this photo because no matter how blurry it is and how you can still see the edge of the underwater bag we used for our little point and shoot camera this photo just makes me smile!

Here is mine, the only change I made was to add another layer on Screen and reduce the opacity. Easy.

These are not normal pics I would use of Dozer to scrap with. As you can see, they're blurry and he doesn't look very good in them. I didn't fix or do anything to them. They are as is.

My DD and her friend on the trampolines. I think I took about 30 photos to try to get that one action shot. Then I discovered my camera had a sports setting.....

I was gonna scrap this horrible photo, no matter what!! I did layer a few of them, letting just a bit of the color come thru the sepia, cause it was yellowish and just gag me horrible. but the moment I wanted to hold too for a long time!

so many amazing pages!!!!
one from me, thanks for this challenge Kim!!!!
