Today is my DD's 41st birthday, so I wanted to photograph something related to her. I am still isolated with Covid, so no go on getting real people as my subject! I found this doll from her childhood - my sister made it, and it has a spot in our guest bedroom. I propped her in a black papasan chair (I knew there was a reason I did not discard this!) and used natural light from a window. Easy peasy solution after lots of thinking (OK _ overthinking!).
This was fun! Three of my fav Christmas gifts. I used the case to my son's Chromebook for the black background
MOC 10: Day 29: Black Background Thanks for the fun challenge! https://the-lilypad.com/store/Dear-2021-Elements.html journal rectangle, flowers, staples, binder clip, string https://the-lilypad.com/store/Palette-Cleanser-Little-Ledgers.html paper background Photo Credit: My own
I set up my photography booth my husband made for me to photograph my greeting cards and used the black backdrop I have to display my Christmas gift from my middle granddaughter.
I took a picture of my phone on a black kitchen stool cushion. Hope it shows up enough! Fun challenge!
I photographed my daughter's lovie: Credits: Little Butterfly Wings "Baby Love" all except: Little Butterfly Wing "April is for Sowing Seeds": leaves Rebecca McMeen "Knox Elements and Papers": paper pieces, paint stems, butterfly
I didn't think I'd get her to cooperate exactly where I needed her to sit this morning, but we did it!
Thanks for the challenge. I took a photo of my mother & daughter willow tree that sits on the shelf in my office. Luckily, the hutch is black so it made for the perfect black background. I love how the photo turned out.
I took this photo in my dark living room with the only light being from a mini tree with white lights. I used a black sweater as a background for the bear sitting in a basket. It worked out better than I thought it would! Thanks for hosting this challenge!
I used a black tablecloth behind my kid. I tried the cat, she wouldn't sit still enough! The outtakes will have to be a layout too.
Aaarhhh... we are away from home celebrating 19 years together and coming back Feburary 1.. I was hoping the last few days of MOC would not require any props or actions beyond what I can do sitting at my laptop... but here's a photo I took from our hotel balcony - the endless pitch-dark blackness of the ocean in the background and do hope it counts!... It was such a gorgeous night... I tried taking artsy pictures of a glass of wine or even selfies against the black sky... but wasn't happy with the result. I wish I had more time to think about the challenge, but I am already a couple of challenges behind and there are two more coming so decided to go with the first - third actually, lol - idea that came to my mind. If there's a 'revisit one of the MOC challenges' challenge in Feburary - I'm definitely revisiting this one.
