January 25th : Art Doll (Style Challenge)

I have to admit, all month long I've been wondering how I would manage to drag Skyrim into scrapping. Well, here we are.

It was somewhat inevitable; I hear seasons and I think fall, I think fall and it never fails, the first thing to pop into my mind is the screenshot/picture I used. I really tried to come up with some other inspiration and I just can't—at least, not anything that fits in the parameters of this particular challenge. (It doesn't help that I got stuck on a back of the head view just so I could use that fabulous bit from Lynne-Marie as a ponytail).

So, inspired by Autumn and its color pallette:

I freaked out a little when I saw this challenge but it was actually really fun! I took inspiration from the spring colors and music (literally conducting the music, since that's on my mind right now).

I had so much fun making my doll. Not at all in my wheelhouse but still fun. I was inspired by the Vivaldi summer and the beach and the Surf Shack kit fit it perfectly. I cropped the arms off the dress and elongated it to make a maxi skirt for my doll and then used puppet warp to sort of bend the arms of my doll as well. I did have to find a png of a hat and t shirt so hopefully this still fits the challenge rules. It is still more than 75% Lilypad products.

Well, this was definitely an interesting challenge. I had fun making my doll but the real challenge was figuring out how to scrap it. I was obviously inspired by summer.

This is my very first art doll, so I feel like this page is a little bit of a hot mess, but since I'm new to Photoshop Elements and templates, it was a really great learning experience. Thanks for the lovely doll template and for the great challenge. :) ETA: I was inspired by the autumn colors...
