journaling: I don't remember exactly when I tasted it for the first time. Probably before 4th grade. I loved it from the very start. My parents would only allow me to order it when we were going out for dinner or when on vacation. I was ok, I knew it was unhealthy, so not an every day thing. I've never quit drinking it. As an adult, I don't like alcohol or coffee, so it's the only thing I order when I go out. And also when I stay home: I love having a can of cola when home alone. I guess it's bad for my health (too much sugar), but it's the only thing I'm not willing to quit. Jan. 2023

She told herself in her journal that night that he was so cute, but why would he be interested in her? Little did she know that the man was asking his friend about her and wondering if she had a boyfriend. Little did he know that she was asking his friend the same thing? Finally though, the man and the woman were introduced. Later that month they were at a church service where they were commemorating the Last Supper and they were both in the musician group. The woman couldn’t get out from behind the music stands to receive the bread and grape juice, so she figured she wouldn’t get it. Suddenly, the man appeared and handed her a piece of bread and a cup of juice. All of the women there watched in amazement as he walked towards her. As time went on, the man and the woman worked a church retreat, and at one point they were kneeling in the church before our Lord in the Tabernacle and the man was praying for God to bring him a woman who would keep him close to him. The woman was praying to let go of the relationship she had so that she could see who God wanted her to be with. That very moment of prayer, they were kneeling next to each other with their arms around each other’s waist with everyone in the chapel. It wasn’t long after that the man and the woman started dating, and 2 years after they met, they were married. 25 years married, one 20 year old daughter, and many happy and sad times have come and the man and the woman are still on the journey and they live happily ever after.
This layout started out as the journaling as therapy challenge but morphed into the love story by the end. ha. Love this challenge
When my family was discussing today's challenge, my husband said "are you doing a page about me and my dog?". He was very surprised when I told him I was. I knew I chose well!
I love all the love stories. I have not been lucky enough to find a life long love but fondly remember my first love. I changed the names however.
