I just love a blurry background! I didn't use my DSLR camera but in my iPhone there is a setting within the portrait options that is called contour and that blurs your background for you to create that shallow DOF. Works almost as good as my DSLR! Thanks for this challenge. It is my favorite so far!!!

This was a tricky challenge for me. Loved playing around (frustration aside, lol) I took lots of different pictures to pick from and this one was my best attempt at the challenge. I do like the look but would love to try some more with my son or topics I would normally scrap about.

There really is a shallow DOF here. If you look at each of the dog's outer eyes & the lampshade, they are blurry. It's just hard to tell with everything so light-colored in the photo.
