This is a super sweet photo that I normally would not scrap at all because of the insanity in the background. My house is frequently a disaster with a 2 year old and a 1 year old running amok. There is diaper laundry to be folded, a bin of toys has been unceremoniously dumped on the floor, the changing table has been rolled into the living for ??? reason, and Malachy is clearly getting up to mischief in the background. Alas, this is our everyday life!
I edited this photo not so much for the background as the centering of the photo. I hate when my photos are centered. I also edited it to B&W to bring the focus back to my subject. All the soft colors were making her blend too much with the background. (image in gallery shows updated page with journaling)
I had this close up of the kids and then remembered I also took a panoramic which showed so much better where we were and how high up!
I did a crop on the large photo off just the chair and bowl of flour, would not normally of used the big photo as in the top left of the photo is a picture of my garden composter (under the wordart)
During my son's first flag football season, I felt like I needed to crop all of my shots from the sidelines so I could see my little man up close. But if you look at the whole scene you really get a sense of the intensity of these little guys and ALL the daddies out on the field coaching! Great challenge! [/IMG]
I love the expression on my son in laws face and that you can see some of the rest of us in the reflection of the window.
