JANUARY 18: Telling a Story Through Photos

These photos were taken with my first and very poor quality digital camera. I've scrapped the cropped in photos before focussing on my daughter's face. For this page I used the wider shot that show that my son had joined in the fun as well. There were lots of other people in the background and a big black space in the bottom right hand corner, (hence previous crops) but I just went with it and covered some of the flaws with embellishing.

What a great idea. My photo is not great uncropped, so the focus had to be on journaling or title. It took the page in a different direction than usual! Thank you.

I had the hardest time with this challenge. As I looked through my photos I discovered that I don't shoot as tight as I thought I did, but that when I shoot wide, it's for a purpose and I didn't want to crop in as a coordinate photo because I shot wide intentionally! I believe in the background! haha!

It's such a lovely picture of her up close but it tells you nothing about the day without the vastness of the dam in the background.

Normally, I would have cropped the big photo a little closer to David and eliminate some of the busyness of the airshow. But I decided not to for this, because the airshow is all about busy. I also used challenge to include a slightly larger picture of David.

I usually crop my photos but I can see it erase some of the stories ~ like in this one I used - one of our cats on the balcony

I love to play with sketching and scenery, so I take lots of pictures of buildings and streets, but I don't want the heads of people on the bus to be in the page.
