I painted the edges of my background paper, then added the messy brushes in the top left and lower right corners, and I painted the colored edges on my three white cards.
Thanks for this challenge - I learned something new! I used a dry media brush at 205 pix 80% opacity to do the edges.
I did them in a grey color first and put it away for a couple of days then decided to try green color and liked it much better. I couldn't remove the grey though since I did it directly on the paper and had saved it.
Thankyou for this fun challenge as I have another page completed for my 1981 cruise. I have more photos of this day so hopefully another challenge will allow me to do a matching type page to this one.

@bcgal00 Rae, love this challenge!!!! thanks for making me go use the Craft Artist brushes I hadn't for long time!!!
now... let me explain: not sure is very nicely done... I may have another go, but as time is of an essence, for now this will do... I went to Fine Arts school and never was for painting,I loved drawing (still do) as I wanted to do etching and wood carvings, sculptures, then my performing took the priority and these days I rarely draw, the brushes on Craft Artist have a section called Natural Media, I used a couple of watercolor ones and a dry paint one, but I was rushing so not sure is well done. The photo is Sarita (DD) in 2010 when she got enthusiastic with my Nikon and did the selfie shots herself, in her bedroom with nothing but day light.... anyway, as I said I may have another go so it can look better!!!! for now and just in case, using the awesome M3 January!!!!
