Most memorable birthday to date is when hubby surprised me with a kind of expensive watch 2 birthdays ago and I only wear it on special occasions loL! :D
 
Well...I love birthday surprises. Up until i was 18 though...my parents had very low key birthdays for all 4 of us siblings.

Growing up I had two very close friends. We were out on a school excursion on the same week as my Birthday. So on my birthday, these girls asked me to get something they had forgotten in my room. I entered the dark room and someone screamed 'Surprise'!!! and switched on the lights. My whole class was there to celebrate my birthday. It was my first real birthday surprise....first real birthday party...and as all firsts go...very very special :)
 
I am not reaching to far with the wayback machine for this one: Thursday was my birthday and I am single and currently not working so I might not have gotten to hear Happy Birthday sung to me. I have a podcast that I listen to in the mornings that is mostly general talk but one of the hosts does a cover podcast and listeners can request covers on the podcast I listen to. Imagine my surprise (and the tears rolling down my cheeks) when someone emailed in "My birthday has come and gone in November but I am sure that today is someone's birthday so I would like to dedicate this request to the people celebrating their birthdays today. Please play your favorite cover of "Happy Birthday." It will be awhile before I get over that. :)
 
I think one of my favorite birthday memories was in high school. My boyfriend at the time took me out to dinner at Pizza Hut in a neighboring town. Unbeknownst to me, he had invited all of my friends for a big surprise party. The place was hopping and it was so much fun!


My other favorite birthday memory would be 2002. Shayne and I had tried for 8 years to get pregnant. We had just given up hope, and got the surprise of our life with Zac. He is our only and we are blessed to have him. That year would have been my very first as a mommy - the highlight of my life. He was one month old.

That IS a wonderful birthday surprise. Our story is similar - 8 years waiting for our first.
 
my favorite birthday memory (as an adult) was the year that i turned 24. I worked as a network administrator at an accounting firm and we had a HUGE hardware and software changeover. I worked some crazy hours that week (as in, went to work at 7 am, worked until 3 pm the next day, 4 hours sleep and go again - insanity). I got home the night of my birthday and walked in to a totally CLEAN house - my Grandmama had come and cleaned it top to bottom, all the laundry, and mopped the floors. It was AMAZING!!
 
It would have been either my 19th or 20th birthday - I was working a short lunch shift at a dine in pizza restaurant, word had got out to the staff working that day so they had put signs up in the restaurant so all the customers during lunch were wishing me a happy birthday.
 
Mine would be my 25th Birthday. I went to San Francisco to spend my birthday with my boyfriend. I met some great friends and had a wonderful time. It was the first time I had ever flown out of the state.
