I have to tell you the palette for this month was such a joy to watch the designers nail down!

And here is the final amazing fun filled kit:
Mixed Media Monthly main kit- Apr. 16 CALM / PASSING / STORM
by Paula Kesselring & Nancie Rowe Janitz & Lynne-Marie & Little Butterfly Wings
I can not believe how cool it is, and then the designers pointed out to me the complimenting M3 from last year
Mixed Media Monthly -April '15 Main Kit
by Quirky Heart & Little Butterfly Wings & Lynne-Marie & Just Jaimee & Mixed Media Monthly M3 & Sissy Sparrows

They go together so beautifully:

This brings in the CHALLENGE:
A page of a storm in your life....or when the sun finally came out. (feel free to have both)

We had false allegations made against our family, and the pain I felt was like a dark horrible weight of a cloud, but thru it all, the sun came up every morning, and reminded me that no matter how dark the storm, that darn sun is still up in the sky!

One random scrapper will win a $5 coupon for LIttle Butterfly Wings Store!
The challenge will go until the next release May 20th! The winner will be announced in that thread!
and last months winner is our dear
@Cath_ I will have the coupon to you in a jiffy! happy happy

Fine print rules and regulations:
- Your page must contain at least 60% of M3 products
- Post your layout in this thread and the M3 gallery.

What a great challenge Anne! My life seems to have been filled with storm clouds but every single time something bad happens ... the sun always comes out. I have been pretty blessed. This is a great chance to scrap about it.

Well, I've definitely got my topic - Lyme Disease. Now the tricky part is to attempt to journal about my lost 5 years...

Sounds good, maybe I'll reconsider my membership. But @AnneofAlamo it looks like one of your pictures isn't showing. And it's possibly your page so I want to see.

oh @carilyne I just uploaded to gallery, and it is public now...thank you for the heads up. I so hope you stay, I am doing the challenge for next month right now...and no extractions, but I think you will smile putting it together! lol
@mcurtt - that is a long storm, no rules against a double pager! ♥

I actually enjoy extractions

I actually enjoy extractions (but I'll tease you for a long time). And if there are possibilities of smile bringing challenges I'm all for that. Now if I could just scrap the inspiration picture.
And I love your layout.

ooooooooooooooooooooooh you inspired me!!! I am gonna try and work with the papers and brushes? you have a different program....can you use brushes?? and do you have blending modes? I think you are onto something!

Me? I use paintshop. If the brushes are PNG I can. If they are abr I have to figure out how to put them into paintshop. Blending Modes? oh my goodness. I LOVE blending modes. I blend papers a lot.
Hmm just what have I inspired.

Here is mine! (AND A VIDEO ON HOW I CREATED IT! Step by step instructions, with Audio)

love what you did. And I have a video to watch! And give Bianca (is that right?) a congratulations hug from another square peg. Oh and we need a "Love" button.

Thanks! Yes, her name is Bianca. She did something that for anyone would have been a no-brainer and super easy, but she struggled with it and did it. She is finally coming out of her shell. I told her that we are here for her even if she wants to dye her hair green... which I secretly would love for her to do it. LOL!!!!

I struggled so hard with that. Just let her know she's perfect as she is and not everyone is the same. Some of us live in shells, we're born that way. And it's a struggle to live in a shell-less world. Has she read "Leo the Late Bloomer" my son read it in about 2nd grade or so (so it might be young?) but he loved it and read it over and over because it tells you that you're okay if you aren't the same as others. Amazon has it. Tell her she has a cheerleader over here.

When my kids were small this was one of our favorite books. We are a family of square pegs, making our way against the tide of normalcy. And you know what, I'm proud to say both sons are fine successful and mostly happy men.

We had one boy who did pretty well through school. The youngest had a tough time and was always quiet. But both are doing well too. The youngest is even a cashier right now and doing okay with it. The life of a square peg!

@Lindzee If you go over to the gallery & read my journaling (it is printed out for easier reading), I was originally diagnosed with RA, but it wasn't RA.. Don't give up.

Thank you. - I know mine is RA. What cause exactly - no one knows yet (yet). I was negative for any Lyme disease factors. My doctor is amazing (thankfully) She tested me for everything under the sun when I was first diagnosed - including Lyme, Lupus, MS, etc. and some other things I never heard of (even some strange viruses since I had been in tropical climates) . I gave about 12 vials of blood and every other sample and Xray imaginable. In Canada all these tests are free and if the doctor orders them they are done, mine were ordered under emergency procedures so they were done fast. My RA factor was quite high. Cause - unknown, partially genetics (my mother died from complications of medications and areas they could not successfully treat) due to RA. What triggered it? We are still working that out.
My doctor is open to me adjusting my medication according to need, and any crazy next thing I want to be tested for in case we can find a cure for me. Autoimmune diseases are difficult because medications can stop the symptoms, but not necessarily find the cause or right treatment. I don't want to take medication for the rest of my life, so keep working towards that goal.

I am mostly in remission now. Most good days, a few not so good - I am always open to different treatments and suggestions.
