Fun challenge! Here is my page:

 

We all have experiences that fit with this challenge. I'm glad that I was reminded of something that happened several years ago this week. I didn't make the same mistake twice.

 

I've recently noticed that my youngest is frequently saying "It happens".

Here's my page, thank you for the fun challenge and inspiration.

 

Journaling says:
Cousin Kathy thought it would be patriotic for the war effort to get a
wooden tricycle. Then all the metal and rubber would go to the making
of things the soldiers needed. It was an excellent idea, but
the new wooden tricycles did not work as advertised. The wheel
skidded when you tried to pedal, and you went nowhere, and the
steering was crazy. It did not turn out the way Kathy expected
but her friend let her occasionally borrow her "real" tricycle

 

I came to do the challenges and missed it all! lol

finally scrapped

 

Soooo I was planning to make my layout today (I know cutting it close being the last day of the month) but then .. it happens! We've had no electricity since 10:30am and no sign yet of restoration either (its 6pm). So guess I will be giving this one a miss... unless a miracle happens and we get our power back in the next few hours. This is such a daily occurrence all over South Africa that we now just take it in stride.

It's now 9:30pm and I can post my layout... our power finally got restored at 8:15pm! I was going to do a page about a different event but today's happening was actually the perfect way for me to do this page... and get it all out my system and on to a layout.
