I was so relieved when I saw this was not a Family Tree. This was so much fun for me, as I'm close to leaving the rain and dense evergreens for sunny AZ and my precious palm trees! https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/mod8-day-8_treefromscraps_i-love-palms.416410/
I've been wanting to scrapbook this photo for a while, but wanted to do something special with it. This challenge was the perfect excuse! Thank you for the inspiration.
I decided to create an ATC for this challenge. I used a scatter of "glitter dots" for leaves, a swirl for branches, word strips for the trunk and ribbon for the roots and grass outline.
What a great challenge!! I had NO idea where I was going when I started, but this is where my creativity took me.
pre-made tree elements @bellbird I am seeing limbs and greenery...are those not considered pre-made tree elements? Just want to clarify before I get started Great challenge!! ♥
Well, that was fun! My first thought was to do a family tree but I wanted to try something else. My trunk is the brown circles, my leaves are the green circles, and my branches are the stitches over the green circles:
once you look at the layouts, I think it's easier than some think. Just the examples in the first post started the "tree" wheels spinning in my head.
i thought this would be hard and i wouldnt like it but it was FUN. and love using all the different supplies to build a tree.
