January 6: Dispersion (Technique Challenge)

Honestly, I ready to throw in the towel. I will come back to this at some point. But right now it's just to hard for me, which I understand is the point of the challenges, but there needs to be a balance.

Here is the video that I watched when I first learned to do it. Maybe that will help?

I like the idea, it's working for me, but it sure is not looking any good after I 'finish'! I have tried several photos now. I need to find one that works. It probably has to do with the fact that I such at extracting so there's too obvious lines showing.

I was so looking forward to whipping out layout number six today and then having the rest of my Saturday to do other things. I couldn't wait to get started this morning. Looks like I may not be able to do this one. It's too difficult for me. However, I will give it a try!

So.. I don't have photoshop! I scrap in Artisan. Is there a way I can do this challenge still so that I qualify for the end prize??

Honestly, I wasn't entirely happy with the photo I chose to work with, so I'm looking forward to playing around with it more when I have more time :)

I'm glad you're going to give it a try! :)

Thank you - I see the brackets - I just can't see the liquified image. I would send you a screenshot but I'm not sure how

DUH! I just realized I had to brush to actually see the liquifying. Sorry for being such a dolt!

Glad you figured it out :)

I Don't Understand This Technique????!!!!...I Don't Use Photoshop Or Own Photoshop...I Use A Really Old Scrapbooking Program That Doesn't Even Have The Ability To Clip One Thing To Another So There Is No Way
That I Can Separate Anything From A Photo...This Is The Reason Templates Used To Be A Problem For Me But I Learned To Use PNGs...Maybe You Can Provide Us An Overlay That Is Similar To Use Instead Of This Technique...
Are We Gonna Be Penalized For Not Having Photoshop?...Help Please...Thank You...

What software do you use? We can try to help you.

@Becky This is how it is done in Artisan, @Genniejoy was kind enough to post how she did it.
Look at the post under this, and click view attachment
EDIT @IntenseMagic sorry didn't see your answer to this until after I posted

Okay so I have been on here, catching up and posting since 10 am and it's now 10pm! (What a great way to spend a day!). Admin, please let me know if my pages are all uploaded in the correct places. I've done the following for Artisan users as I'm going to sleep now and won't be back until tomorrow night. Feel free to delete it if it's not ok . :)View attachment 252368

I'm not understanding how to do this at all. I have Photoshop CC. I made a copy of the image that I selected with content aware. But the original background photo image is still there. I don't know how to use content aware. I tried a video, but still couldn't get it. Maybe I'll try just putting it on a white background. I'm sorry to be so stupid, but I need more steps! EEK!!!

This is the video that I used when I first learned to do it. I did one step at a time pausing and watching. Maybe it could help?
