January 5: Embracing Imperfection (Photography Challenge)

There was a gap in the bush at the bottom with a very noticeable man + the band behind the bush. Otherwise I loved the photo so I just "filled in" the bush with the clone tool. lol

I drive my hubby crazy, I don't delete any photos...I could never throw away bad photos back in the day when we got them developed either!

I delete almost nothing too. I am the same way. The only way it goes is if I can't tell what it is at all.

I get these shots all the time. My husband is not patient enough once there's coffee in sight. So I've got a lot of photos of his arms and/or coffee pots. So these are my imperfect photos - with people jumping in the frame when I'm ready to take the photo. I decided to embrace it instead of never getting around to actual use the photos for anything.

I don't usually edit my photos. I just don't use the imperfect photos or I crop them in a way that it still looks like something. Well since I scrapped about todays weather in yesterdays challenge, I really wanted to scrap about yesterdays weather too. But I only had an ugly photo so I changed it to b/w and then I used it as is. Cause like why not. There is nothing to save here. Anyway.

Lots of our imperfect photos are taken at restaurants. They are imperfect in the lighting, the empty plates on our tables, and sometimes blurry!! I decided to use them as is and add journaling, in the gallery comments.

It rains all day on our trip to Edinburgh and my photo with the view from Calton Hill was pale and without color. I was really sad, because to take a photo from this place was a dream of me.
Back at home I've tried what I can do with Photoshop and I played enthusiastically. Now I'm happy, I have the picture of which I dreamed . :)
