*** CONGRATS @michele hillam ***

Merry Christmas in July!!

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is baking with my kids. I take a week and spend time with each of my children baking our favorite cookie and treat recipes. It is a goal of mine to eventually get all of these recipes into a scrapbook album that I can pass on.

Today's challenge is to do just that...scrap a layout featuring your favorite holiday recipe. It doesn't have to be a Christmas recipe, just a favorite recipe from a any holiday.

You can put your recipe on a recipe card as I did in the example below:

Or you can put your recipe right on the layout as I did in this layout I created earlier this year.

Be creative and have fun!!

Recap: The challenge for today is to scrap a layout featuring a favorite holiday recipe. The recipe can be Christmas or Non-Christmas, you decide.

Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product. Your page should be posted in your Lilypad Gallery AND to this thread.

This challenge will have one random $3 winner. You have until 11:59pm EDT on July 31 to complete.

Monica @dailydwelling Two questions:

  1. Does the recipe has to be from a holiday recipe. I am not quite sure we have "holiday recipes". We cook regular food during holidays. LOL!!!!
  2. Does the page needs to be holiday related?
I have a picture of Bianca learning to cook beans, these are the beans we make for every day including holidays. It's just our puertorrican way of making beans. LOL!!!

I managed to work this in with a photo from 1996. I'm working on a TN album for this trip, have been working on it every Christmas in July since 2018. :-)

No and no...just scrap a recipe layout. I can't wait to see what you do with this!!! And I totally would love to see how you make Puerto Rican beans!

Thanks for the inspiration! This is my go-to cookie recipe for any and every day -- snickerdoodles!

I love french toasts! here in Brazil it's something traditional for the holidays, but I learnt to make a "light" version, in the oven...recipe translated in my gallery:
