JANUARY 7: Magazine Inspiration
I am a sucker for a good magazine (well, honestly any magazine). There is just something about the combination of new and interesting information punctuated by gorgeous, glossy photos.
Today's challenge is to create a page inspired by magazine layout design. Magazines generally pack a strong graphic punch and grab our attention using an eye catching combination of photos or illustrations and text. Large, bold headlines are standard as well as creative ways to feature text such as separate text boxes or pull quotes. Photos and illustrations are an integral part of telling the story. Most of the time, all of these individual components are wrapped up in a two-dimensional print package without shadows.
Here are some examples to get the juices flowing.
Challenge requirements:
Here is my page for the challenge.

I used:
Diamond Days album by Lynn Grieveson
Typo Folio alpha by Valorie Wibbens
“Breakfast” word art from Storyteller 2019 August Scrapbook Kit by Just Jaime
Don't forget the general requirements for all MOC pages.
Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places:
Can’t wait to see your magazine inspired pages!

Challenge requirements:
- Your page must include a combination of both photos and text. One photo is acceptable.
- Your page must include a "headline" - some portion of text that is larger than the rest and tells me something about the subject of the page. One word is fine.
- Your page MAY NOT include shadows. Again, NO shadows. I know, take a breath, you'll be fine.

Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places:
- Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site).
- Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean.
- Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish.
Can’t wait to see your magazine inspired pages!

No, I know, it goes against all that is sacred in scrapbooking, but you can do it!!
