Does this look any good? Did I go overboard? I don't use brushes enough. I painted the edges of the frames and the S and D.
i am not that good with brushes. i use cc photoshop. any brushes you suggest to use? i love alot of the layouts but they dont mention what brush they used. thanks
Artisan users. I hope all the other instructions the ladies have posted have helped. I used the touch up tools. They are amazing. I have Artisan 4 and 5. Let us know if you are still having any issues. Enjoy 'playing' with the various tools in the toolbar, that's the idea behind the challenge. The 'Undo' button is my fav too!
I made a layer of brush painted edges, and then cilpped a background paper to it, then used a brush and watercolored the brown edges. Credits: "Inside Your Purse" Collab https://the-lilypad.com/store/Inside-Your-Purse-collab-kit.html
thanks did that and it jsut took me to get the kyle brushes which is whats on there now also looked at pse video mentioned in first post - they use a brush thats not in my version of pse. tried brushes included in my CC version and while methodology is not difficult it didnt come out looking right probably because not using right brush. would really like a name of specific free brush to use that is included in photoshop/pse.
I'm not sure I like the look as much as I did when I used the sides of an ink pad on paper, but I may end up playing around more in the future. For someone with MS whose hands jerk every now and then, it was hard to control where I had the mouse go! This was attempt #5 at making it look decent. LOL
Ok so I use Artisan 5 and I went through touchup and painted the edges with color because I didn't like what the darken gave me. I hope that is ok.
Maybe someone here can help you with their prefered inking brush? Since you can not find the one in the video in PSE or PS, next best thing is to google it... I only just watched that video, the name of the brush she uses is cleary shown, so I googled it (brush watercolor loaded wet flat tip) and google showed a lot of sites (of course). The first one is full of free brushes (top free watercolorbrushes for designers), maybe they have the one you are looking for? Or brusheezy? There are a couple of 'wet ink brushes' ... maybe that is the kind of brush you need?
I loved this challenge! I don't do this often, but I should try to! I brushed the edges with a floral brush!
Thank you for the wonderful challenge. Painted the edges of the background photo with Watercolor Loaded Wet Flat Tip brush.
Brushes and stamps were one of my first loves way back when I started - don't use them nearly enough now! I have used brushes on the edges of my paper, the spring through the middle and the edges of the photo (love text brushes esp!)
@zanthia @bjc @Bagheertje Watercolor Loaded Wet Flat Tip brush is in the default brushes in both Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CC.
